A friend sent this indication of slides; I like it.
When I tried to make a similar indication in Dorico, the bend looks OK, but I want the curved slide; the timing is like a grace note, as shown in the bend. I didn’t see choices in Properties to create the look and timing I want.

You can input a scoop (Ornaments panel, Jazz section)?
That shows a curved slide to the left of the note, rather than the right. It appears both on notation staves and tablature. You’d need to add the “slide” text manually, though.
Thanks for your swift reply, Lillie. Using the scoop you suggest, is there a way to show the initial “grace” note, as the bend does? If that’s possible, the text “slide” wouldn’t be needed.
Not automatically, but you could input a grace note and hide its stem, for example.
