Guitar tuner doesn't work

When I drop the tuner onto my audio track, it doesn’t respond to my guitar playing input.

Yes, the monitor button is enabled and I can hear my guitar through the headphones.

You also need to turn off direct monitoring.

You could put the plugin on the Input channel rather than an audio track.

Yup.

The tuner plugin is supposed to be used on the input. Not as an insert on an audio channel, just as how it would be used in the physical world. Guitar → Tuner → input. (would anyone open their amp and connect the tuner with alligator clips to some point in the circuit?)

It is detailed in the Plug-In reference manual, though that book is very low on the Amazon best seller list.

Thank you guys, I put it on the input channel and it works! These forms are great for an old man who’s not too savvy on tech! Don’t know why I didn’t think of trying that.

I stopped using the Cubase Tuner and switched to a free one I found on KVR years ago. The Cubase Tuner was way too bouncy for me. Perhaps this has changed.

You are right, now that I have it working, it’s very bouncy. I may download a different one as well.
