Halion 7 crash when used in Bidule host

Hi,

Running Windows 11 23H2 build 22631.3296 and Halion 7.0.20

I’ve been trying to get Halion 7 and Groove Agent SE working in Bidule, a VST host created by Plogue.
When scanning the plugin, Bidule has been crashing to desktop. I created a forum post there but while troubleshooting the issue I noticed this entry in Windows event viewer:

Event 1000, Application Error

After a bit of a search, I found the dll listed under faulting module path in:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\Activation Manager\license-engine-access.dll

After moving the dll out of the way for a bit as a test, I ran a plugin scan and both plugins scanned instantly. I then closed Bidule, put the dll back where it belongs and everything appears to work as it should, I can now use the plugin within the application.

Without doing this, the same error was thrown every time the plugin was scanned.

I said I’d raise something here in case that makes sense to anyone on the Steinberg side.

Thanks in advance for any advice / guidance.
