Halion 7 slice mode, cant drag-n-drop anymore?

I dont know but i asked Copilot how to do that and he said that some users on this forum have talked about that thing and said this feature has been removed. I try to do ; in slice mode ; load a sample, a loop, and then slice it to transients, then drag-n-drop the slices pattern on a midi track in Cubase and it seems that feature isn’t there, can someone tell me if it has been removed ? This question is looping in my mind, i need to resolve that problem and find the way to do it. it seems people at steinberg tells this answer can only be found via this forum. i asked questions, i tryed to post questions on this forum and i dont really know how it works, i never had answers. Maybe i’m missing that special knowledge that prevent me to be active and have answers to my questions and interact with developers at Steinberg. It seems this is the way to do it but i think it’s real complicated. it should be easy as asking via email to the developers instead of posting words that will never have answers. Done ! :>(((

Hi! I am Phil, your friendly HALion Co-Pilot

To drag a midi region, controlling your slices into your sequencer, follow these steps:

In HALion 7, focus your sample in the project tree.

  1. Open a sample editor tab
  2. click on “slice”
  3. Click Apply
  4. Drag from the midi field to your sequencer.

Hi Phil ! Thanx for your reply. It seems that finally i can get help from the forums. In your solution, you say i must click apply, but i dont have any apply button in my view.

Herer’s a screenshot of what i see in my version. Hope you’ll get an idea and maybe a solution for that. Thanx again for your help. You are amazing people ! Wish you bests !

And happy holidays !

Ahh! I see, thanks for the screenshot, it clears things up.
Your apply button is hiding all the way to the right, behind your mediabay tab.

Maximize the HALion window or pop out the sample tab into it’s own window and you should be able to access it.

The default screen set is made to show all the many HALion windows available. If you want to get real work done, I recommend to customize your screen set and create different presets for different tasks.

Ah ok ! I see ! That’s what it was the problem. I just needed to maximize Halion screen ! I will go to sleep less idiot tonight ! Thanx for your help Phil ! Wish yoju bests ! :>)))
