I didn’t find any information about how can I synchronize the tempo to an external midi device in Halion 7 standalone. It seems there are only two options
fixed
track
But these aren’t the solution.
On the UVI Falcon main screen there is a little metronome icon beside the tempo speed, and when I turn it on, the main tempo will be synchronized automatically to the external device eg.: squarp pyramid
I, too, am trying to sync some hardware to HALion 7 Standalone, only to apparently discover-to my disbelief-that it doesn’t seem to be able to sync to MIDI Clock??
This seems like such a basic ability for a software Sampler to have, and I really can’t understand why Steinberg has not implemented this in HALion 7? As a for instance: I’d like to trigger Drum Loops (warped, of course) loaded into HALion, and have their tempos be synced to the MIDI Clock being sent out from my hardware sequencer. This is a simple task that has been given to samplers by beat-makers for decades now.
Can’t do it without MIDI Clock, though.
Are we missing something? Is there a way to do this that is just eluding me?
The “external clocked” is not about MIDI tempo sync. This is for D/A - A/D. Sync the audio sample rate.

External Midi sync in UVI Falcon (the little metronome icon indicates On/Off state):
Off:
On (synced with Squarp Pyramid):
If the midi sync is ON, all the external gear and Falcon play sequences in absolutely synced. This is the goal. Because the Halion can not do this, the “theoretic midi tempo” - that I set manually - wont be the 100% same, as all other devices’ midi tempo - those are perfectly synced. This is a very little difference indeed, but after 10-15 minute it will maybe 0,5 - 1 sec (!!!).
In this case I cannot use Halion Stand Alone (!!) with other midi devices.
