Anyone tested Halion vs Kontakt CPU overhead in cubase 12 ?
I don’t have Halion but am thinking about it , just wondering if I should

It is hard to compare to be honest. You could maybe run a number of sampling voices or similar, but HALion has evolved into a completely different category than Kontakt over the years. That test would not account for any of the synth engines and signal routing etc.
Best way to find out is downloading the demo and see if it works for you.
