Hello guys, I’m having a very strange problem.
When I use HALion X-Stream and make PITCH automation, everything works fine, but if I hover over any of the controls/knobs, it starts using the same automation I made for PITCH. And in general everything starts working weird. I like to note when I’m hovering, not when I’m adjusting or clicking or whatever. And the ‘record’ automation button is disabled too.
I checked another HALion synthesiser (Anima) - the result is the same. What is the problem?
Has anyone had the same problem?
I use Macbook Air M3, Nuendo 13, HALion sonic 7
Thanks!

Hi @Ivan_Abramov
tried to reproduce it, but it works well here and I found no other reports.
Let’s try to narrow this down.
Did you write the automation with the
pen tool into the automation lane?
Or by moving the knob with the mouse?
Or with a mapped midi controller?
Or with an AI knob as found on the old Steinberg CC controllers?
Another way?

Hi @Philippe_Bono
I did it as follows:
I clicked on ‘w’ - write automation, then played the scene and changed the pitch parameter with the mouse. When the automation was written, I changed the automation curve with the mouse. I always use the same method with other plugins.
But I just tested a different way of doing it:
I select a parameter, then right-click, ‘assign new automation’, then right-click again and select ‘show__parameter_name__automation’. And now I can make a curve and change other parameters in the synth and everything works fine.
Anyway, if you want to dive deeper into it, I can make a short video.
Thank you!

Thanks for the details. I tried it on my system, but still no luck. Everything works the way it should.
If you have the time to make a video, I might spot something we missed earlier.
