After a recent crash (Windows 7 OS), I re-loaded Cubase 7.0.6 from download and Halion Sonic from my trial version disks (from my original box purchase of Cubase 6). I purchased the full version in March 2012 from Steinberg. Halion Sonic appears ACTIVATED on my eLicenser and shows up on mysteinberg. There is a stand-alone version on my computer (version 1.5) that opens fine.
When I play projects using VST sounds from Halion Sonic, the tracks fade in and out – which led me to believe that the product was in expired trial mode; however, I receive no notifications of this when opening Cubase or Halion Sonic VSTs. I am able to select Sonic as a VST and re-loaded all the patches in the project and experience the same fade in/out problems.
I tried installing the Halion 1.5.0 content patch, but the error message says “the program to be upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch may update a different version.” Any suggestions?
