3 weeks ago, I decided to make room on my PC to install Cubase 8 PRO and I unfortunately deleted my HALion Sonic Sound Library…
I purchased this full version HALion Sonic on August 2012 by dowloading it from the Steinberg website ;
It seems that Steinberg has now cancelled the link to download the HALion Sonic software (and its corresponding library…) and I did not make a copy of this downloaded software.
Please find hereafter the number of the VST sound that are missing : 002, 003, 006, 011, 0013, 015, 017, 019, 021, 023, 029, 031, 032, 033, 034, 035, 036, 037, 038, 039, 040, 041, 042, 043, 044, 045, 046, 049, 053, 054, 055, 056, 058, 062, 065, 066, 067, 068, 069, 070, 071, 098, 139.
HALion Sonic is executing normally (I duly own my license) but I am now missing the above VST sounds for current projects…
Could somebody help me and give me a link to download these VST sounds ?
In advance, thanks for your help and I wish you a happy new year !
I actually own the original 2xDVD boxset and could make copies for price of discs and P&P, but not sure if this will contravene some strange law. Can’t use without license, so I don’t see the harm, but wait for the overseers first…
Even though it’s an eLicenser-protected product, Steinberg might frown on anyone other than them distributing ISO images.
Just wanted to note that I had the same problem as the first two people who posted in this thread, and that the upgrade installers Steinberg provides at purchase time do appear to be missing a fair amount of content. When I reported my issue to Steinberg they sent me links to ISO downloads, which worked fine.
Thank you for that; I have become increasingly aware of our societies racing towards a meaner, less sharing way. So am most grateful for your input.
NB: You were fortunate to get through to Steinberg, I can’t login, unless I wish to purchase, then I sail through: same name etc.
Not sure what I did to earn your ire, but for what it’s worth, in order to submit a support ticket, you log on to your MySteinberg account, then go to My Support > Create Support Request and fill out the form.
I took another look at the links that Steinberg sent me, and they are not password protected or time-limited, so they may be safe to share:
