HALion Sonic Play – Favorites and new presets

Hi Steinberg,

I’m considering purchasing HALion Sonic Play, but I have two important questions regarding presets:

  1. Will my existing Favorites from HALion Sonic Selection automatically appear as Favorites in HALion Sonic Play?

  2. Sonic Play includes around 900 new presets compared with Sonic Selection. Is there any way in Sonic Play to clearly identify or filter these new presets, so I can review only the new ones and add the ones I like to my Favorites?

These two points are important to me before purchasing.

Thanks for your message.

I suggest checking out our dedicated HSS/HSP support article, which is intended to answer common questions regarding the former HALion Sonic Selection instrument and the recent HALion Sonic Play release.

Regarding your questions, it is not possible to transfer existing favorites from HSS to HSP. It is also not possible to filter for or identify newly added presets in HSP.
