Setup: Win11, Nuendo 14, Halion Sonic 7.1.51.1043.
Can someone tell me if there are different versions of of Halion Sonic? The version that appears for me does not reflect the version in the documentation. Does Nuendo downloads only offer a cutdown version?

HALion Sonic 7 is free and the current version is 7.1.51.
HALion will cost you ÂŁ290. It is a very different instrument compared to HALion Sonic.
The history of HALion Sonic is confusing, I’ll let someone else enumerate it.
The version in the link in the image (forum won’t let me link to it). But thanks, based on your input I was able to figure it out. The version that c/w Nuendo is the free product, as you say, very different – no wonder the manual I was reading was confusing. All along, I should have been reading “Halion Sonic Help”.
I was hoping to import libraries; seems I can only import presets

Nuendo used to be bundled with Halion Sonic 3 SE until a couple of years ago. The update to this was Halion Sonic 7. Since then Halion Sonic 7 has received some maintenance updates. Version 7.1.40 (as seen on your screenshot) was already replaced by the current version 7.1.51.
In terms of functionality there is only a difference between Halion Sonic and Halion, latter one being the bigger edition available as a purchaseable product.

The HALion Sonic Selection comes with Cubendo. (Not to be confused with HALion Sonic Collection, which requires ÂŁ200+ cash.
