HALion Trial does not show up in SDM nor SDA

Hi everybody,

I own several Steinberg products (Nuendo 14, Dorico 6, Spectralayers12 , Wavelab 9, all Pro), so it’s a bit embarrassing – I fail to install HALion Trial on my Mac, it does not show up in my SDA under My products nor in my web account.

  • On the Steinberg website I choose HALion
  • Click on TRY FOR FREE
  • The page Try HALion now for 30 days shows up
  • I sign in to my account, I have just one Steinberg account
  • On the page Try HALion now for 30 days I click on the button Try HALion 7 for Free
  • A new page shows up to let me download the SDA for Windows or Mac
  • I tried both: using the previously installed SDA and downloading it again from that page and using that new version.
  • However: The HALion trial does not show up under My products nor does it appear as a trial version on the product page in my Steinberg web account.

Do I overlook something obvious here?
Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Have you Activated the trial using the SAM?
I had to do this with my Cubase 15 Trial.

Thank you @Googly_Shakespeare. As it neither does appear in my SAM: no.
Some time ago I tried out SpectraLayers, it worked and the trial is even listed in my products list since then.
Does anybody know which action (which button) exactly causes/triggers HALion to appear in my products list?

As I realized that this problem seems to be quite special, not a very common one, I contacted the Steinberg Support. They did not find a solution either but helped fast and activated a trial license for me.
