Hanging on "Initialising MIDI" will not fully load

The application doesn’t load but the audio interface Discovery app, and Mixer load just fine.

There was a .dll missing, which was addressed by the Redistributable .exe

I have deleted preferences multiple times.

Also, I installed from the .msi so something is wrong, in that a .dll file is not packaged?

I wish to avoid the Steinberg Download Assistant and Library Manager, so I took this route on a new Windows 11 installation.

I am using a X7 Series 3 processor, with unactivated windows, so this situation needs to be addressed, since the program won’t start.

I could try re-installing, using the Steinberg installer but if that makes it work, then there is confirmation.

Have you verified it’s not this problem?

inMusic drivers are not a loading problem on any system that is up to date with Windows updates. We fixed that in April and if completed rolling out a couple weeks ago.

But if you have a KORG USB driver installed and in use, it may prevent MIDI from initializing. KORG have instructed their customers to uninstall those. First up, it was the Audio Endpoint that was at issue, it was disabled but on automatic now, as is Windows Audio.

The system needs to be able to have those both off, and still function as a DAW, so while it is great to see development in this area, i.e., MIDI, there is no native timing protocol for AVB, which is a disappointment to say the least, but that is another subject.

Nuendo is running now, however under Windows 10, I could have all Windows Audio services off, and the DAW would still function, albeit without MIDI but it would not crash.

Anyway, I have sent error logs. The Steinberg error reporting mechanism is working great, as is the Hub in relation to VST testing via a Nuendo host.
