Hanging on VST Multitrack on start up

Howdy

So I have upgraded to 8.0.30 and on start up, Cubase Pro 8 hangs on “Initialising VST Multitrack”. Any ideas to why this is happening?

I have to Contrl Alt Delete and Task manager says Cubase 8 is not responding.

Is the Cubase experience actually less bumpy on a Mac because I’m slowly swaying that way now! Problem after problem.

Hi,

Try to move VST Instruments out of the VST folder. Then move them back one by one. This way, you could find the problematic one (if it’s on the plug-in side).

I always recommend Mac. Not because of Cubase only, but because of the system itself, and overall usability and stability.
