I noticed that Dorico will hang on my Windows 11 laptop when I close an existing Project and try to create a new one. I have to force kill the Dorico application and rerun it to get unstuck.
I suspect a deactivated VST is causing trouble with Dorico. I get a “VST is deactivated” type screen for my VST when Dorico first loads. I just tell the VST to quit so I can continue to load Dorico. I also do not see that VST in my Allowed/Blocked VST list in preferences, so I think Dorico is going sideways related to that VST when I try closing a project and creating a new one (maybe its possibly waiting for another VST deactivation splashscreen to show that I need to acknowledge).
Opening the dmp file in vs2022 is highlighting an out of bounds while performing a read/write in the VSTAudioEngine. Thats all I can glean from it. Hopefully you got the magic symbol files and able to see more. Now I’m really suspicious its that deactivated plugin by EastWest causing it. Going to try temporarily removing the VST instrument from my VST3 folder to see if things get better.
