Hardware and software, share your opinion.

I’m a Cubase user for 2 years now and what I noticed is the importance of matching your
hardware with the software you use. I started 2 years ago with my pc using windows 7, but meanwhile
Microsoft released Windows 8 and 8.1 and Cubase 7.5 is just on the marked.

I’m still running Windows 7. Why? Many hardware suppliers (mainboard, graphics, audio and other hardware)
don’t support the correct drivers for Windows 8 or 8.1 and I think using Windows 8/8.1 without having the correct drivers is causing many problems (read the Cubase forum). So my system is running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
with all the latest drivers and I’m not having 1 problem. Yes, there are some bugs in Cubase but you also find them in
Windows. I think most of the problems will be caused by incorrect drivers or software not compatible with Windows 8.
Do I need to buy the latest hardware that supports windows 8? No, my system is fast enough to handle Cubase.

Please share your opinions and thoughts.
