Harp glissando notation

I’m trying to recreate this notation in Dorico (it’s from Elgar Pomp & Circumstance No. 4):

At the moment I’m hiding the gliss lines, and the rests between the two demis by setting custom scale to 1. Crossing staves and stem directions no problem. I’m stuck on beaming the two demis together - I can only get 2 continuous beam lines by setting “Split secondary beam” to 16ths.

Am I on the right track, or is there a better workaround for this? I’m not too fussed about playback.

Though I’ve not tried it, you might find you have more success writing the notes in rather than leaving rests in between the first and last notes of the glissando, and then setting the notes to be stemless by way of the ‘Hide stem’ property in Engrave mode, and making the noteheads themselves invisible by setting their colour to be transparent using the ‘Color’ property.

Worked perfectly thanks Daniel! Didn’t even get in the way of playback if playback is suppressed for the extra notes.
