Having Trouble Deleting a Fingering Slide

Editing the fingerings this measure: I’m having trouble finding out how to delete the slide marking from the “4” to the “3” at the start of beat 3. I tried deleting and reentering that fingering, but the slide reappears when I add a finger number back in. I haven’t found anything in the Properties panel that seems to hide or show this slide in either Write or Engrave mode. Any suggestions for how to get rid of the slide? I have nearly 50 pages to edit, and I’m going to have to delete a lot more finger slides.

That looks like it could be a fingering substitution, rather than a slide - try removing fingerings for both of those notes, then reinputting them.

That didn’t work either. Here’s a screen recording of me deleting and then reentering the fingerings. When I delete the 4, I can see that the line is still there, associated with the “3” fingering on beat 2. I’ve kept the properties panel open in case someone sees something that I’m missing. If nothing else works, I may try deleting and then reentering the pitches and then adding the fingerings, but there must be a simpler solution.

You can always select those notes and trigger the Reset Fingering command, which you can either find in the Edit menu (or in the right-click context menu), or via the jump bar (shortcut J).

Success! I didn’t even know about Reset Fingering. I’ve only been using Dorico for a couple months, and there’s still so much to learn. Thank you!
