Help! keyboard shortcut!

Hi,
I’m learning to use keyboard shortcuts and one of the issues I’m having, is whenever I hit the option key on my mac it activates the draw or slice tool while i hold it, if i then hit another key such as Option + X or Options + N, the draw key over rides this second command making and keys commands that use the option key, useless.
HELP!

I’m on PC so I hope this translates…
Look into Key Modifiers, you can change this behavior in preferences.

What are you trying to do? I have several commands using opt- as a modifier they function correctly. The current cursor’s shape doesn’t impede them.
