help needed - select from bar-beat to bar-beat

I want to select specific areas in a large multi track, many bar project based on a written score where the bars and beats are perfectly clear. It would seem natural to enter a select start and a select end by bar-beat and then select a set of tracks by click-drag or click-shift-click. Can’t seem to figure out how to do it.

Search manual for “select from”, alas, and many unrelated hits occur. O for a good manual index.

good grief so many hours trying to simply use the darned product
