help on "HW pull up/down"on off switching

Hi all

any help on what the ‘HW pull up/down’ on or off setting in C6.5 in Devices / VST Audio System does and where to change it.
Running Motu PCI 424 card + 2408mk3.

cant find any manual or web help on this so far.
