I’m trying to have a whole flow not show bar numbers (it is a collection of 2-3 bars short exercises, each one starting on a new system).
When I select all, then add bar number change and set “do not include” only the first bar of the selection reacts, whose logic I understand.
Is there a way to get what I am looking for?
Thanks!
Select all, Filter / Time Signatures, Properties / Hide bar number
Amazing that every bar has a time signature property even if it not shown.
I know this may be obvious, but it was a flash of light for me!
Thanks!
What about Layout Options > Bar Numbers > Frequency > Show bar numbers: None – ?
That kills them for the entire project for that layout. I thought he wanted them in other flows, but just off in specific flows. That’s definitely faster if he doesn’t want any bar numbers at all.
Sorry for the noise. I got per-layout mixed up with per-flow.
I was having the same problem. I don’t see "time signatures’ under the filter menu when right clicking to the selection (all), however I found another way: select all / Bar numbers / Add bar number change / type: don’t include
I have a related question. It’s awesome to be able to hide individual bar numbers in the properties panel; I can’t find a way to get it back, though, if I decide I need it after all. Is there no way to unhide it once it’s hidden? It comes back if I unhide it right after I hid it, but as soon as I do anything else in between, that bar number seems lost forever…
If a bar number is hidden, you should be able to see its signpost (view>signposts). If you select the signpost you can change its hidden property… (bar numbers are considered properties of time signatures!)
Awesome answer, thank you so much!
