Hide Lane data when expanded!

I don’t know about anyone else, but when working with Lanes, its incredibly annoying for me to see the upper/top lane’s waveforms BECAUSE it makes me think its another lane! All I would like is the preference option (same as folders) to “HIDE data when Lane is EXPANDED”. Just want the option of not seeing the upper lane when I’m working with the individual lanes. Then when its closed, I then want to see it.

I fully understand why the vertical summarizing view of the lanes exists: whatever is selected below will show in the main lane and is supposed to confirm your choices. However, when there is a ton of other things that need to be looked at too, this visual redundancy can end up being horribly confusing. In the preferences dialog box, could you please provide us with an option similar to the one that exists with the folder tracks: hide data when expanded, but with audio and MIDI tracks? An opt…

Along on these same lines, when you are done recording and you are using lanes to comp a vocal, I really don’t need to see the open lane at the bottom. It would be great if they would consider enhancing the lanes feature.
