Hello Community,
is there a possibility to hide performance instructions, dynamics or in generell all other signs in Dorico? (For example, if you need the instructions only for a more humanize playback, but not for the final script)
Thanks

Hi, playing techniques and immediate dynamics (pp, mp etc.) can be hidden. With playing techniques, if you are using the âPâ popover, input them in parenthesis and theyâll be hidden without the need for properties. For immediate dynamics, in the properties pane, there is âHide intensity markingâ .
I donât know a simple way of dealing with articulations (those attached to notes) and gradual dynamics (hairpins) that doesnât involve hacks.
If you are only dealing with sporadic alternative renderings, then the simplest thing to do is to âAdd Staff (Above|Below)â, write the passage the way you want to hear it and suppress playback for the passage that should be printed. When you are ready to print, or at any time really, just context-click the added staff and âRemove Staffâ, e.g., Dorico doesnât âplayâ mordents, so âŚ
You can remove the added staff entirely and the music will still play back.
Hope that helps a littleâŚ
