I am new to Cubase and DAWs in general and I need to know how to hook up my keyboard to my Cubase program. I have an old Casio CPS-85. I recently bought a MIDI OUT-MIDI IN cable to hook my computer up to my keyboard. I don’t know what to do next. I can’t seem to find anything under HELP (probably because of my lack of intelligence). Any help is appreciated.
Then use the manual. There is not really much intelligence necessary to get this working.
If your keyboard is not usb powered, you will need a MIDI interface or an Audio Interface with MIDI IN capabilty.
Just connect cables to correct ports and select MIDI Inputs in your Device Seup box in the Studio tab of your menu.
