So, I have this problem where these sixteenth notes in the piano look quite ugly, but the voice part is as it should be. I understand the logic of putting them together like this, but it doesn’t look good for engraving and I’m new to engraving. What is the best way to fix this?

The problem you have is that the lyrics need more space… Maybe use a narrower font for the lyrics, put less bars in that system (so that the lyrics have more horizontal space…
Compromise is the key.
First of all, change Engraving options > Lyrics > Hyphens > Minimum Space to allow for hyphen to 1/8 spaces. (This is Minimum SPACE, not Minimum GAP.)
That will reduce the distortion from the lyrics somewhat.
Ultimately, other than reduce the number of bars so that the notes have enough room, there’s not much you can do. Or use a smaller staff size throughout.
Moving the piano notes to be more even may be more confusing, because you can’t tell which one is on the singer’s beat.
