Horizontal line between verses

Is there a native Dorico way to put a horizontal line between lyrics verses? I’m transcribing a song with 6 verses and would be helpful for the singers to get on easily with it having a line say between verse 3 and 4.

No, there is no native way to do this.
Have you explored the option to put the verse number at the beginning of every system?
That can be helpful if there are a lot of verses.
I personally, in those cases, only put verses 1-3 underneath and duplicate the flow, so to get the same setting, but with verses 4-6. That might be easier for the singers, too.

Thanks for your replay. Yes, I’ve done exactly what you said, this is also a big help. I leave it as it is than. Could be done manually with loads of editing, but hey, singers need to focus a bit more and that’s it:)

You are right; still, it saves rehearsal time if the music and lyrics can be easily read and followed.
It might sound funny nowadays, but during Corona times, a considerable amount of my work had been preparing choir parts with lyrics, so they could be performed without extra rehearsal time.

My solution for this (I engrave hymns that regularly have this many verses) was to create a custom playing technique that was a basic short line, that I then add to every first note on each stave, and nudge into place in engrave mode. Sometimes I also use full lines in the lines panel. Relatively straightforward. Select the bottom three line of lyrics, nudge them down a click or two, and then nudge the line you’ve created into the expanded gap. Easy.

Could you use an underline character style?
