Hot to enable listen mode button on fx track

Hi,
how can I enable to see the listen mode button on fx tracks in the left zone inspector in the edit window?
I can click it in the mixer, but when I’m in the edit windwo, I don’t have the button on fx tracks like on other tracks. And in the window for editing the track controls, fx tracks are combined with group tracks and both don’t have the option to add that button. (neither in the inspector nor on the track itself)

Hi,

that’s not possible. But you can activate the channel view in your project window at the far left side by clicking here

It will look like this:

true, thx

The “listen” feature is an audio related feature, so it’s only available on Audio,Instruments,Sampler and Drum tracks. Midi and FX tracks are non audio, so the listen option comes in the signal is audio; ie at the mixer fader.
And
As you know , the Controll room has to be active to use Listen feature.

??? Overe here they are nothing but audio. And they have a Listen button, just not in the track header.

I maybe wrong,. but my understanding of this is:
In the track side of fx there is digital signals send to control an audio stream, so when the fader channel for the track recieves this signal it is combined with audio and listenable. Therefor you’ve got a listen button at the mixerside but not on the track side.
The same goes for midi tracks where the midi mixer channel nor have a listen button, but the recieving instrument channel have.

Am I wrong or…misunderstanding?

I get what you mean but by that logic the mute and solo buttons of an Effect Track would need to apply to automation and not to the audio signal.

I get what you mean, but the listen mode is always post fader anyway, isn’t it?

No. There is a button in CR for AFL/PFL setting.

As far as can see:
My logic makes Mute for automation but not Solo. That’s how it lo0oks like here at my place.
