Hi is there a keyboard shortcut for the record function (and transport controls in general) in Cubase 8?
if i remember right you can use * to toggle the record
This is correct.
If you open Key Commands and look at the Transport section it will show you all the currently assigned Key Commands for the Transport functions. You can also change and/or add key assignments here.
The numeric keypad (if you have one)
