Why doesn’t Steinberg have a unified program for installing, downloading, managing, etc.? Upgraded to 5 pro. Frustrating. Part of the problem is that my method of payment and my Steinberg Forum account are two different emails. Added to that is that I bought 4 with another email still. So that was sorted out, but it’s still not letting me use the upgrade because a license is missing. Steinberg licensing should have unified the programs for installing, downloading, managing, activation, etc. Why do we have to have multiple programs to get one running? I thought Sibelius was annoying with their licensing issues, but at least it’s one app.
Hi @thecoast, and welcome back to the Forum.
For some useful informations about some of your request, see here:

Luis, it looks as if you have had a Dorico Pro 5 license in the Steinberg ID account corresponding to your forum account since August 2024. So if you have just purchased an update to Dorico 5 in the last couple of days, the reason it doesn’t work is because you’ve already bought the update. You can contact our online shop partners at FastSpring and request a refund for your purchase, since you don’t need it.
Ok. Got it sorted out. Deleted other email address accounts on Steinberg. I’ll call FastSpring tomorrow to see if I double-paid.
Still not playing sounds right. But that’s how it’s been since I started checking out Dorico. Sounds are, no pun intended, on again, off again. Not consistent.
