I have reinstalled windows 11, but the problem remains.
What’s the problem?
Hi,
As written in the message: Please check permissions of the given folder.
You have to have permissions to write.
Please, write a meaningfull description of your post.
I didn’t get this message before. And at some point, I started getting this message, but I’m not sure why. The bigger issue is that I don’t know what folder it is or its path. Do you know where I can find the path to that folder?
Hi,
Some other installation (or a Windows update) might change the permissions.
You can find the path in the Steinberg Library Manager.
Hi,
Try this
- Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
- Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
- Under Controlled folder access, select Manage Controlled folder access.
- Switch the Controlled folder access setting to On or Off.
Thank you for all the help. However, there was one issue I hadn’t realized. Recently, my HDD failed, and I had set my ‘Documents’ folder to be stored there. Since the drive no longer existed, this caused the problem. Even after reinstalling Windows, the folder path wasn’t reset. I manually corrected the path for the ‘Documents’ folder, and now the issue is resolved.
