How can I get a refund?

Finale – Step 1: Open an existing lead sheet that I use basically as a “template” (A Foggy Day in Bb)

Dorico – Step 1: It opens a “project” With 2 titles (Not successful in removing one or the other title or editing them)

Notice that you already have a “template” in Finale that you use. That could also become true in Dorico (or any software). You just haven’t had the opportunity to make one yet.

Finale – Step 2: Save it with the new name (Satin Doll in F)

Dorico – Step 2: wont save as new file, it saves as a “project”

Finale – Step 3: Open the text tool and change the title from Foggy Day to Satin Doll

Dorico – Step 3: If you start with a new project from scratch, you can give it a title, but change the title? won’t do that

Title and other global info is in the File > Project Info dialog box.

Finale – Step 4: Click on the key change tool change key from Bb to F, everything changes, notes, cords, key signature.

Dorico – Step 4: Click on the Key signature tool and type in a changed Key. Well, the key signature changes but the notes stay the same, and so do the chord symbols (WTF?)

Finale – Step 5: “Control A” selects the whole score, " back space" clears the Foggy Day score, and you enter new notes and chords (on the measure lines that are still there) for Satin Doll.

Dorico – Step 5: Control A, back space clears the score, and deletes the measures.

Measures in Dorico only result from the addition of actual notes. Deleting only note, chords, etc., is pretty straightforward. Take some time to study up if you want to learn it.

Finale – Step 6: Click playback and listen to notes and chords.

Dorico – Step 6: Click playback and the notes play, but no chords.

No one’s saying you have to use Dorico, @Stu_Batchelder. But you clearly haven’t tried hard and/or methodically enough yet to grasp some basics .
