How do I add additional percussion instruments in Dorico?
I want to add new elements to my drum kit, but I can’t find suitable options among all the instruments on the Add page. Can I add a custom non-pitched percussion instrument, such as a Bell Chime or Stax?
Hi @youze1145141919810, from your screenshot is not clear what you already have in your setup. So is difficult to say what to suggest.
You can not have mixed pitches and unpitched percussion in a kit, but only unpitched ones.
In Dorico the Chimes is in the Pitched Percussion Family, and uses 5 lines staff: so you cannot add it to a kit:
There is no Stax instrument in Dorico, but you can create a new instrument definition for it.
If you upload your project, and ask what instrument you need in which kit, we can give more precise advice.
But generally you add instruments to a kit, from the kit itself,

click on the three dots near the kit name > Edit percussion kit

click on the + icon, and search for the desired instruments to be added:
