How do I change my MIDI tracks to Instrument tracks?

Hi there. I have downloaded a MIDI file of Strauss’s ‘The Blue Danube’ in orchestral form. How do I change the many MIDI tracks to Instrument tracks so I can use my own plug-ins rather than the Halion MIDI sounds for each instrument?

If you want to use your own instruments, just change the instrument assignment on the MIDI track Inspector.
You dont have to use instrument tracks but if you still want to, just create the instrument track and then copy the MIDI. You MAY have to delete a program change in the beginning of the MIDI data (it selects the general MIDI instrument).
