I’ve got a loop that is 174 bpm, but Cubase sees it as having 87 bpm, which is causing me lots of problems when I try to time stretch it without changing the pitch as it all sounds wrong.
What’s the best way to fix this issue and time-stretch the loop to fit my track whilst still keeping the same pitch?
I have this all the time with vocal stems. It has bugged me for years that CB is nowhere near as good as Ableton at correctly identifying the tempo of a file.
As per the screenshot, open your audio part on the timeline by double-clicking it, then just click into the tempo box and type in your bpm. Don’t forget to click the ‘musical mode’ button if you plan to change the tempo of the project.
