How do I create a multiple sample instrument in the Sampler Track?

I’m new to the Sampler Track. How do I drop in multiple samples on to a set of notes to be replayed, and then save that as an instrument?

The sampler track does not allow sample layering or velocity zones. It works on a single audio file only.
However, you can prepare your sample and then transfer it to e.g. Groove Agent, where you have velocity zones.
Either you bounce the sampler track and import the file into Groove Agent or you can try the “Transfer to Instrument”:

Alternatively you can use Sampler VSTi’s like Halion or Kontakt (they cost money, though).
