How do I delete an entire section of lyrics

I wrote a cover to a song with lyrics. I needed the lyrics in front of me, so I wrote the lyrics in the score. I thought it would be simple to delete them when the time came. Not so. Going to edit>notations>lines was a dead end. I finally deleted them one syllable at a time, which was laborious. I know there’s a way. Would someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks! Hey Connie,

Select the part where you want to delete the lyrics.

Go to filter: all lyrics.

Delete.

That should work.

If you ever need to remove some lyrics, but not all, you can lasso the lyrics and hit delete. If you want to remove lyrics from a specific verse, select one lyric in the verse, the shift-ctrl/cmd-A. That will select all lyrics in that measure. Press the key command again, you get the whole system. Press again you get the entire piece for just that verse.

Also: if you select one lyric and then Shift click another lyric further along, Select More (Shift Command A) will select all the lyrics inbetween.!
