How do I enable the F11 shortcut on a Mac?

I can’t find a way to make the key open the Instruments pane.

And years of conditioning make assigning a new key a much less preferred option. :wink:

I tried the global disable in the Settings page but that only makes it behave as a “show desktop” shortcut.

Should I just put it on another key?

Hello,

Use System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab, and activate use all F1, F2, etc. kes as standard function key. Than the F11 will work as “Show Desktop” shortcut, which you can deactivate in the System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcut tab.
