Hello, I am new to Dorico Pro. I am a long time Finale user and want to convert some of my pieces on Finale to Dorico Pro.
Can someone please tell me how this is done ? Thanks in advance for your help

Welcome to the forum!
In order to get documents from Finale into Dorico, you need to use Finale to export the files to MusicXML format, and then use Dorico to open those files.
You will find that this process is not perfect, and that you’ll need to massage some of the imported notation. This forum is a great resource for solutions to issues you may face. (Try searching the forum before posting, to see if someone else has faced the same issue.)
There’s an article about the process on the Dorico blog.
Thanks for getting back to me. I hope transferring Finale to Dorico winds up with the Dorico sound quality being more authentic than Finale. Right now I have no idea if it will…but thanks again…
all the best,
Barney Griffin
Finale provides great-sounding playback out of the box, but it’s difficult to use other virtual instruments and sound libraries; Dorico, on the other hand, provides slightly less human-sounding playback by default, but makes it much easier to add extra sounds.
Thanks for that info…
