I downloaded Cubase 6.5 from mysteinberg to my MacBook Pro OS X 10.7.5.
When I double click the Cubase_6.5_Installer_mac.dmg it opens a window containing 2 folders and a 6.5mpkg icon.
The Steinberg Application Installer Tool titled “Installer Tool for Mac OS X 10.10 and later” is in both of the folders.
I don’t want to use the “Installer Tool for OS X 10.10” if it won’t install correctly on OS X 10.7.5.
I emailed support and they said Cubase 6.5 will run on 10.7.5 without the need for the Installer Tool and will work on 10.6-10.8. The said double clicking will start the installer.
After double clicking the dmg installer no install occured that I’m aware of, I checked the applications folder to confirm.
That being said, what steps do I take now to install 6.5?
