How do I know I've correctly register my eLicenser

Hey,

I’m not sure this is the good forum to post it but since the annoucment regarding the end of support of the eLicencer, I’ve followed the step from this help guide “eLicenser-How-to-register-Steinberg-software-and-why-it-s-worth-it” and it seems it worked well but, in my profile, I can only see my productf (Cubase 10) in the “Show eLicencer-based product”.

is that correct? Shouldn’t I see my product in "Show Steinberg Licensing-based products now that I’ve made the registration?

I’m kind of lost with all this licenser thing…

Can someone tell me if I did what’s needed?

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

As long as Cubase 10 is registered in your MySteinberg account you are all set.
You can use Cubase 10 as long as the eLicenser works and update/upgrade at any time even without eLicenser.

The reason why Cubase 10 does not show up under Steinberg licensing products is simple: Cubase 12 is the first version that runs on the new licensing system, Cubase 10 doesn’t.

Have you checked for vouchers in your account? Maybe you own other products that are elegible to be transferred to the new licensing system.

Here’s an additional tip I have for anyone in general.

Go to Steinberg dot net, log into your account, click the elicensers-based tab, see the list of your elicenser registered products AND …IN MY OPINION…up there above the list of your products, you see the three “software”, “elicensers”, “downloads” tabs. CLICK THE SMALL ELICENSERS TAB.

Now all you’ll see is your registered dongle itself…not programs… and its unique serial number. If you own multiple dongles, they all show there if registered…even if you registered them but never put anything on them.

My advice…as we rapidly approach May 20?

You should see BOTH those types of info…to be safe…only in relation to old pgm versions of course.

New version registrations are shown elsewhere …as mentioned.

Thanks a lot for yor answer. Then it seems it’s al good.

Abou Vouchers I don’t know whre to check? But since Cubase is the only product I have I suppose it’s not revelant to check this?

Thank again.

Ok so in eLicenser tab I can see the USB-eLicenser and his serial number and by clicking on it I see my Cubase 10 software with the serial number associated (different rom the eLicenser) then I guess I’m all good?

Thanks for your answer !

Btw. You can’t update your Cubase 10 license to the newest Cubase version after May 20th. An update will access your eLicenser AND the eLicenser server which is not reachable after May 20th.
If the eLicenser and your Cubase version can installed on any new version of your OS, you can run Cubase 10 … if not … you have to pay for a new full version.

Sorry @Elias1957 , this is not correct. Open any Steinberg help page and click on the info link that pops up these days. They found a way around it!
Have a look
