How do I make WL's file browser behave...like Explorer size all colums to fit?

1st World Problem: Every time I open WL12, or any version iirc, I often open the file browser first. This is what I get to see.

And then often to read my files I have to re-size all the columns. Or wish just like Explorer that I could have a “size all columns to fit” function to make it look something like this:

But the next time I open WL, it’s back to this horrible default where the Name column rarely gives enough space.

Any solutions would be appreciated.

Bueller?

Bueller?

Anyone?

I test this with a folder, it looks like the last set length is persistent.

It would be nice if there is a size column to fit option (Persistent), ref. Windows 11.

This is also a Floating Window, therefore size column may affect when resized lowest.

This will be improved in the next WaveLab version.

Not on my Windows 10.

If I’m following you correctly, you widen the name column, then close WL, re-start and open the file tab and the name column width shows up how you left it before closing?

Here it defaults back to what appears to be an arbitrary designated width, and for my use it is always too narrow.

Did you happen to check other files and folders in multiple locations such as going to Recent Files?

Explorer has spoiled me.

I tried using Favorite menu in the File Browser and it saves last used sizing in Win11. I notice when I reopen WL, the sizing is same, but the previously used Favorite folder is not Highlighted. I am opening two files from two different Fav folders.

Not very sure, but I think the size I saved yesterday, even though looked similar, was slightly different when I opened File Browser today.

If there is a way the File Browser can be made to work in System (Win/Mac) Theme than WL theme, it may be better. But these days, every software for example Reaper is having their own version of Media Explorer.

Also, PG replied to you he is improving this.
