How do I move the single staff on page two to page one?

Several ways. Without changing any layout options, you can go to Engrave mode, select a note in the first measure and the last measure (hold down command when selecting last measure), then click make into a frame.

The other way is to modify the layout options with page size, space size, margins, and vertical spacing to allow more room for all the systems to fit on one page.

Yes - I tried the “Make into a frame” and it didnt work. I was hoping there was an easy way instead of fussing with page sizes and margins etc. I am coming form Finale and this was very simple in that program. Im guess I’ll have to try changing margins etc.

I misunderstood. When you said select a note in the first measure I thought you meant the first measure of the staff on page two. I now understand you meant the first measure OF THE PIECE. When I did that and selected the last note of the piece and clicked “make into frame” it worked!

Other options: reduce the Note Spacing of the Layout from the default (4) to 3.5 (or thereabouts); or reduce the space between systems.

I agree. One of the workflows in Dorico which is pretty hard to adopt for Finale users is

Don’t adjust things manually if there is a global setting.
