How do I open/close key editor in it's own window, NOT in lower zone?

I want the key editor to open in it’s own window (full screen view) when double clicking a midi part. Right now, the key editor opens in the lower zone as a split screen view.
And then “Return” should close the key editor, and return to project window, instead of returning to the split screen view.

Thanks!

Go to Preferences, select Editor, in the dialog box 2nd from bottom, select ‘Double click opens editor in a window’
that should do it,
cheers,
bt

Awesome!! Thanks for your help!

Toggle Enter (mac)

Thank you! This has been bugging me for a while.

I’m on Mac and can’t seem to find these in Preferences. There is no “Editor” area. And I searched around and couldn’t find any ‘Double click opens editor in a window.’ What am I missing?

(UPDATE: I thought I was in the Dorico forum. Sorry…)

Thank you! Don’t know why I never did this earlier but it was bugging me today. Thanks for the answer (I should assumed it would be that simple).
