How do I record the MIDI output of a VSTi channel that has insert Chorder?

Maybe you can share the solution here, if someone else would search for it.

It was as simple as arming the first insert record button, which then enables the second inserts record button to be armed.

For whatever reason, the MIDI inserts need to be armed->enabled in order.

Then arm the actual MIDI/instrument track itself and record away.
