I have a 44.1/24 audio montage that I am using to output a DDP and individual WAVEs for digital distro. The 44.1/24 audio montage consists of one large WAVE files and I have set markers and meta data in WL to define the individual tracks. My client would also like to receive 96/32 WAVEs and I have not found a way to set that up in WL 11.2. I have replaced the 44.1/24 WAVE with the 96/32 WAVE but I am not able to output individual 96/32 WAVEs.
There’s a feature called Customized Montage Duplicate that allows you to recreate an audio montage using a different file (or set of files) that are of another sample rate. The bit-depth is irrelevant to the process since audio montages are bit-depth agnostic.
Maybe the Customized Montage Duplicate will do what you need. When used correctly, you don’t need to re-enter any of the data such as markers, names, CD-Text/Metadata, etc. It simply recreates the montage at the sample rate of the target file(s).
Hey Justin, thanks so much for being available to help on a Sunday eve! I work with Customized Montage Duplicate all the time but so far only to output 24 bit WAVEs. My challenge right now is to figure out a way to render 32 bit WAVEs from that same montage (which is made up of a single 32-bit source file).
You have to set the ouput file format correctly, which you can do in the Render tab, if set to Named File result - see Render Tab and also Audio File Format.
