I want to put my VSX plugin for headphone outs, and my sonarworks room treatment on speakers, but cannot seem to map the headpphone output specifically either with MOTU control panel or Cubase studio setup and audio connections
You need to either configure your headphones out as Headphone bus and the speakers out as a Monitor bus in the Audio Connections → Control Room
or both as Monitor busses.
Afterwards you can switch the Control Room panel from Main to Inserts and load plugins into the slots. Each monitor bus and the headphone bus can have their own plugin chain.
(My speakers are Event 20/20s, thus the bus name)
So I was able to route to a separate out from control room, but then have to use MOTU routing to point to my headphones. The problem now is, when I play something like Youtube or Spotify from my browser, I have to route back to main out and remember to toggle back and forth.
Does anyone know how to share the same routing for main out to heapphones?
You can route your main outs and your cubase HP outs to the MOTU mixer.
In the the mixer send both of them to the same AUX and route that aux to your headphones.
