How do you feel about the Cubase 14 Inspector?

Hello Everyone! Hope youre having a good day!
I was wondering how you feel about the changes in C14,
a bit of a rant, i honestly dont understand why MIDI PART and Track Presets take up as much space as the full-on options we had before.
have to change a midi channel \ vst \ i-o was a breeze - always in front. and now buried in the Routing Panel (which is quite nice) but who need MIDI PART and TRACK PRESET to be so predominant in the inspector. its not an efficient use of space in my opinion.
Plus, i really wish they stayed with the Accented design of the Record and Monitor section, its iconic cubase - and now it just looks like everything else. a shame in my opinion.
How do you feel about all of this?

What you call Midi Part is a new feature of C14. It is the place to toggle btween using parts or pattern events.
As it is new it needs more space compared to C13.
I guess you actually mean to say that there is too much space between the fields

Snoofkin, I agree! I prefer the Cubase 12 style although not so keen on the white panel in 12 . Cubase 14 made it a bit complicated and especially not easy to use if you are into using instruments in a multi channel way.

There is something messy about the overall GUI of Cubase. I know there are tons of parameters/pages etc to deal with, but I wish some genius at Steinberg comes up with a better design in the next version while keeping 30 year users happy.

I’m afraid I disagree. The new midi feature doesn’t really need a whole menu for two options, and to place it at such a critical muscle memory location. Have to undo 20 years of cubase use. I’m all for progress but this just lazy and UX design. Those features are not constantly used and yet they take up quite a bit of the panel. I find it perplexing when the old panel had all the important things in one place.

I agree it’s quite frustrating when you juggle a lot of midi and instruments. I don’t know why they always make amazing features and yet manage to take the UX back.

It is ok to disagree but since I have not voiced an opinion but merely stated facts, before asking you what you actually complained about, I fail to see what there is in my message that could possibly be disagreed with.
