How do you find Dorico 6 on Mac Studio once you have downloaded and activated it

I’m sure this has been covered somewhere, but I can’t find where.

After you buy, download and activate Dorico 6 (using the Steinberg Download Manager and the Steinberg Activation Manager), how do you launch the program?

When I click on the Dorico button in the tray, Dorico 5, not 6, comes up.Preformatted text

If it actually installed correctly then it will appear in Finder / Applications. Alternatively, just use Spotlight (Cmd+Space), type Dorico and it will come up. Both D5 and D6 can coexist on the same system, they just can’t be used simultaneously.

On my system Dorico 6 was installed alongside Dorico 5. I had to manually delete Dorico 5.

All applications are installed in the Applications folder.

You can right click on the icons in the Dock to Remove the old D5 one, and Keep the new D6 one there instead.

jjtpiano, once you have opened Dorico 6 you will notice two instances of the application in your dock.
Drag the other one off your dock; so you will from now on launch Dorico 6 when you click onto the Dock icon. You might have to right-click and choose → Keep in dock.

Got it. Thanks.

After installing Dorico 6, if you double-click on the icon of a Dorico project (to open it) and it opens in Dorico 5:

  1. quit Dorico

  2. right-click on the icon of a Dorico project and choose Get Info (or single-click the icon and use the keyboard shortcut - cmd-I)

  3. in the info window, where it says Open with: choose Dorico 6.app, click on Change All… and confirm (in macOS Sequoia 15.4.1, the confirm button says Continue)

Thank you.
