Talking universally, across any app. Trouble is that Media Bay can’t manage many VST preset extensions. Kontakt, Spectrasonics, Opus, VSL, not only the big boys, but many small apps can’t show presets in MediaBay.
I put a post up with some suggestions for the future, but given the current state of play, with C15, how do you now keep a memory or log of what sounds for what potential uses?
B in a different format that is dictated by the plugin (e.g. *ffp for Fabfilter presets)
The latter is not recognized by MediaBay because the internal format is up to each 3rd party company and Steinberg has no say ( so they can’t do much about it). Saving 3rd party presets as *vstpresets works well for the time being. However, this might change once the plugin undergoes major changes and with it the internal preset format.
The best bet is to save a preset in both formats if you want to use MediaBay - this way you are on the save side.
